Looks like my poetry/prose piece "One of those Nights" got a little attention and I just want to thank everyone who took the time to read it and for all the congrats. I've been far less active on DA than I'd like to be, so this was a most welcome surprise. I hope you all have a wonderful day

My poetry/prose piece "The Monster Inside" looks like a hit! I never saw it coming either, but couldn't be happier about it. A very special thanks to everyone who pushed this one along, especially for suggesting it and for featuring it, but all of you who faved and or commented or even just took the time to read you have my deepest gratitude. It seems I've been a bit preoccupied and extremely busy of late. As have many of you judging from the number deviations I have yet to read. I've been doing my best to get caught up but I doubt I will be able to do them the justice they so deserve. But we'll see as I am somewhat OCD about that. In any case I hope you are all having a great run at life and that the holidays are all they can be. Much DA love.
PS: I will be letting my paid DA account run out, but that does not mean I will be any less active. The free account suites me just fine. I also want to extend a very special thanks to the lovely and talented for last year's subscription and encourage you all to go check her out.

Yep you heard me right; we got monkeys on the loose…literally. But I'll get to that in a minute. Now, as many of you know we got two big damn fires burning in Texas, and I just spent the last seven days ring side to one. When I say ring side I mean not even a quarter mile distance away. But I'm happy to say as close as it came, it didn't get close enough. So it seems all is well for us. As for the monkeys; well turns out we have a wild life rescue center not fifteen minutes up the road. And since they couldn't rescue all the animals from the fire, they let some of them go. Yeah so now we got monkeys entering people's homes to raid the frig, stealing cell phones I guess to call friends and family and just all around being somewhat of a nuisance. But I'll take the monkeys over stupid people any day. At least the monkeys have an excuse, I mean there monkeys.
